You will be received by our representative on arrival at Kathmandu airport, who will help you settle into your hotel. Be sure to get a good night’s rest as tomorrow we embark on an exciting journey into the wilderness of Nepal!
Late in the morning on day two, we drive to the airport to board our flight to Pokhara. On arrival, you will be received by our representative, who will help you get to your hotel. You can spend the later part of the afternoon hiking up the nearest forested hill across the lake, to the vantage point of the World Peace Pagoda.
Route: Kathmandu to Pokhara
Early in the morning, we drive to the airport where we will board a flight to Jomsom, which is situated at a height of 2,720 meters. From here, we go on a three hour trek to Kagbeni at 2,800 meters, which is a walk through the broad Kali Gandaki riverbed. On the way, one can see some very interesting rock formations.
Kagbeni is considered a green oasis in the middle of a desert, a junction on the ancient Trans-Himalayan trade route and the gateway to the restricted region of Upper Mustang.

Our trek on day four starts with a three hour trail which ascends initially through barren terrain, to reach Jharkot (3550 meters). Jharkot is a quiet medieval village with narrow alleys lined with ancient, crumbling houses. From here, we trek to Muktinath which is nearly two hours away. The trail rises sharply through farmlands and clusters of Poplar trees right up to Muktinath.
Later in the day, we visit Muktinath Temple, a popular pilgrimage site for Buddhists and Hindus in Nepal. Behind the main temple, you will find 108 ICY COLD water spouts, where it is believed that one can be cleansed of their sins! You may also choose to go hiking along the route beyond the temple in order to enjoy some stunning views of the mountain. By evening, we will return to Kagbeni by jeep.
On day five we explore the area on the opposite side of Kali Gandaki River, including Tirigaon, searching for the rare sight of sub-alpine Wildlife.

Today, we trek for about five hours to reach Lupra at 2,790 meters. For the first part of the trek, we travel along the trail towards Jomsom. Half-way along the route, we veer eastwards and off the main trail. We will cross a small wooden bridge across the Panda Khola stream. Later, we enter the village of Lupra, one of the oldest settlements in the region. You can visit the Lupra monastery, which was founded in the 12th century by Lupragpa, a famous Bon master. (Bon is the ancient shamanist faith, which was later incorporated into mainstream Tibetan Buddhism). We then rejoin the main trail and hike till Jomsom. From here, we take an off-road jeep to Thasang, bypassing the villages of Marpha, Tukuche and Kobang.

On the seventh day, we hike for about six hours to Titi Lake and Kunju village. The next day, we hike for four hours to the high yak pastures and wetlands of Bhuchharchho and Syokong Lake above the Boxi Khola, for more birdwatching and grander views of the Nilgiri, Annapurna I and Dhaulagiri peaks.

Today, we trek for about seven hours, starting from the motor track until the ancient village of Tukuche, which is famous for its apple brandy distillery. From here, we travel a short distance to cross a bridge that takes us to the village of Chokhepani. We then walk past an army training ground to the village of Chhairo. Later, we will enter a thinly spread pine forest which leads us to a Tibetan Refugee Camp, a cluster of about 70 houses. The trail inclines steeply from here. En-route you can see the picturesque Marpha village (also known as the Apple Capital of Nepal); and the Dhaulagiri and Tukuche peaks that rise above the village.
We then descend, going down a barely discernible path to get to a bridge which leads us back to the motor-track, and further on to Jomsom (2,720 meters).

In the morning, we drive to the airport to catch a flight to Pokhara. On arrival, you will be received by our representative, who will help you get to your hotel. The rest of the day can be spent exploring the lake city of Pokhara.
On day eleven we take the highway till Dumre. After this we travel on a narrow hillside road for about three hours to reach Bandipur. We will be staying at the Old Inn for the next two days, surrounded by a stunning landscape, simple fresh food, farms and orange groves. You may want to take long walks to absorb the amazing atmosphere of the place.
Bandipur's attractive architecture and its fascinating history make for an unforgettable holiday! Do not miss the spectacular one hundred mile pink-tinged skyline panorama before sunrise. It is absolutely worth rising before dawn to catch the dazzling drama of the skies!
Today we hike to the biggest cave discovered in Nepal, the Siddha Cave. In addition, you can explore the surrounding woodlands for the typical wildlife of the Nepalese middle-hills region.

Today, our adventure tour takes a new turn, as we head for the white-waters of Nepal. We drive for a short while to reach Damauli. Our guides will help with the required instructions and basic training for rafting. After this we have about five hours to enjoy a thrilling rafting experience! This is your chance to try your hand at taming the torrents and rapids of the Seti River! We will end the day on one of the serene sandy banks of the Seti.

On day fourteen, we will take on the rapids once again! We will pull ashore 200 meters down the confluence of Trisuli and Seti at Gaighat. From here, we drive for two hours to the lowland jungles of Chitwan National Park.
Chitwan National Park is situated in the subtropical inner Terai lowlands of south central Nepal. The park is known for its population of endangered One-horned Rhinoceros, Tiger and Gharial Crocodile, along with many other species of animals. In addition, 276 species of birds have been recorded around the area where your accommodation has been arranged.
Included Activities: White-water Rafting (Day 14) Route: Seti River Camp to Chitwan National Park
On day fifteen, we start off with a birdwatching tour. Keep your eyes peeled for the rich array of bird life that inhabits the park! Later, we drive to Kasara, the headquarters of Royal Chitwan National Park, where we will try and spot One-horned Rhinoceroses, Tigers, Leopards and Gharial Crocodiles.
We will also have an opportunity to visit the Gharial Crocodiles Hatchery Project, which was set up by the Frankfurt Zoological Society. We then drive on to the oxbow lakes (Lami Tal and Tamar Tal) through dense Sal forests. After this we will head for the Rapti River. Here we embark on an exciting canoe ride in a traditional dug-out canoe. The canoe ride will give us an opportunity to sight aquatic birds, Crocodiles, Rhinoceroses and other animals along the banks of the river.
In the evening, you may get to enjoy a stick dance performance by a local ethnic troupe. You can join in too if you're in the mood!
The next day we take an Elephant safari in the morning, followed by a jeep safari, exploring the wetlands of the National Park.
In the morning, we leave for the airport to board a flight to Kathmandu. You will be received by our representative upon arrival at Kathmandu airport, who will help you get to your hotel. The rest of the day can be spent at leisure.
This is the last day of the Nepal Wildlife tour. You will be taken to the airport to board your flight back home.
For Advanced level tours, we recommend previous experience of the activity involved. These are our most challenging and advanced expeditions. They include long walks, cycling, trekking, hiking or rafting in variable weather conditions for more than ten hours a day. These trips may often be over three weeks in duration. Ascents and descents are over 1000m at altitudes up to 6000m and the climate can be rigorous and challenging. Excellent physical condition and previous mountain trekking experience or appropriate preparation is essential.
