Your extensive Indian wildlife tour will start on arrival at New Delhi Airport where our representative will meet you and transfer you to your hotel. You can spend the day relaxing or explore the Indian capital. New Delhi is one of the fastest-growing cities in the world. The city is steeped in history and culture and has many fascinating ancient forts, beautiful gardens, historic monuments and vibrant markets that are worth visiting. One of Delhi's monuments- Humayun's Tomb, is a major attraction.
Today after breakfast, we will travel to Jaipur (approx 4 hours drive), the capital of the colorful Indian state of Rajasthan. After lunch, you are free to spend the day as you choose. You can wander around Jaipur's vibrant markets or visit the Palace of the Winds, Jantar Mantar or the City Palace.
Jaipur is known as the ‘Pink City’ due to its rose-colored buildings. We will also have the opportunity to go on a guided tour of the Jantar Mantar, a unique astronomical observatory that dates back to the 18th century. You may want to sample Rajasthani cuisine for dinner, after which we return to the hotel.
After an early breakfast, we will drive for about three hours to reach Ranthambore National Park, our first wildlife destination! A Ranthambore game drive is scheduled for after lunch, and we will explore the park till dusk.
Ranthambore National Park is encompassed by rocky hill crests, dotted with water pools and contains a number of temples and forts as well. It is very rich in wildlife. The Tiger population is the highlight of this park. In addition, one can also see a variety of birds such as Peafowl, Cotton Pygmy Geese, Pheasant-tailed Jacanas and many more.
These two days in Ranthambore will see us starting out early for a morning game drive. We will return to the lodge for breakfast. You can relax till after lunch. We then set out on an afternoon game drive in Ranthambore National Park and return at dusk.
If time permits, we may visit Ranthambore Fort during your free time.
Our day starts with an early breakfast, after which we drive for about 5 hours to reach the famous Keoladeo National Park (formerly Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary). You can spend the rest of the day relaxing or exploring your surroundings.
Today, we will leave early in the morning to explore Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary, or as it is now known, Keoladeo National Park. This park, as you will soon discover, is a birdwatcher’s paradise and is famous for its resident as well as migratory birds. Bharatpur, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, can be explored using a quaint rickshaw, on foot and by boat. We return to the lodge for breakfast. You are free until after lunch when we will set out once again for bird watching in Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary.
After breakfast, we travel to Agra via Fatehpur Sikri. We will be stopping here for a guided tour of this lovely World Heritage Site. Fatehpur Sikri was once the capital of Mughal emperor Akbar’s massive empire. We drive to the city of Agra. After lunch, we go for a guided tour of Agra Fort.
We will visit the Taj Mahal at dawn. This monument, which symbolizes Emperor Shahjahan’s love for his wife, looks especially beautiful at this time. Its architectural splendor is a vivid reminder of the legendary Mughal Empire. The rest of the day can be spent relaxing till it is time to board the evening train to Umaria (Kalinga Utkal Express Train)
We reach the Umaria railway station early in the morning, from where we will drive for about one hour to reach Bandhavgarh National Park and begin your tiger safari holiday. You can spend the remainder of the morning relaxing. After lunch, we will go on a safari and our day ends at dusk by the bonfire.
Bandhavgarh is best known for having the highest density of tigers in India. However, the beauty of its forests also lies in the rich wildlife that lives within it – Leopard, Sambar Deer, Barking Deer and many more. The park also has a rich variety of birdlife. You are likely to spot beautiful species of Egrets, Hornbills, Kingfishers, and Eagles that are endemic to the region.
Your tryst with Bandhavgarh continues over the next two days. We begin these two exciting days with early morning Bandhavgarh safaris and return to the lodge for breakfast. You can relax until after lunch, then we will head into the wilderness once more till dusk on game drives in Bandhavgarh.
Today, after an early breakfast we head for Kanha National Park (approx 6 hours drive). We will be spending the next three nights here. Lunch will be served after checking in at the lodge. This will be followed by an afternoon game drive in Kanha, from which we return at dusk. We advise you to get enough rest today as the next two days begin early and are packed!
Kanha National Park is a beautiful reserve that is rich in wildlife. It encompasses lush meadows, thick forests and water bodies. As you enter, the subtle fragrance of the Sal forest and the incessant sound of cicada will captivate you. Kanha is home to the rare hard-ground Barasingha or Swamp Deer. You might also see spotted Deer, Sambar Deer, Langurs, Leopards and Dholes (Wild Dogs).
Our exploration of Kanha National Park will continue on days fourteen and fifteen. You will begin these two days with early morning Kanha safaris and picnic breakfasts. We will return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, we head into the wilderness once more until dusk on game drives in Kanha.
We will set out on a final game drive in Bandhavgarh and return to the lodge for breakfast. We then drive to Nagpur airport to catch a flight to Delhi (approx 6-hours drive). Our representative will meet you at the Delhi airport and help you get to your hotel. The rest of the day can be spent relaxing.
Today we will head for the airport to catch a flight to Guwahati. A 5-hour drive from here brings us to Kaziranga National Park. After a late lunch, you can spend the rest of the day relaxing.
Kaziranga is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This 470 sq. km. the national park has tall elephant grass and lush green flood plains and is home to a rich variety of wildlife. Here you might spot birds like Greater Adjutants, Bengal Floricans, Pallas’s Fish Eagles and black-necked Storks. Kaziranga’s larger inhabitants include the Greater Asian one-horned Rhinoceros, Asian Elephant, Asiatic Water Buffalo and the majestic Royal Bengal Tiger.
The next three days will be spent in Kaziranga. Day eighteen will begin with an early morning safari which will cover one of Kaziranga’s ranges.
The park is divided into four ranges. The Agoratoli range covers the eastern part. The Kohora range covers the central region. It is easily accessible from the range office at Kohora. The Baguri range covers the western part of the park and has the highest density of rhinoceroses. The fourth range, Burhapar, covers the first additional area attached to Kaziranga.
We will return to the lodge for breakfast. You can relax until after lunch when we set out once again to explore Kaziranga on game drives until dusk.

After breakfast, we will head for Guwahati airport (approx 5 hours drive) to board a flight to Delhi. You will be met by our representative upon arrival at Delhi airport, who will help you get to your hotel.
We will leave Delhi early in the morning after breakfast and travel to Corbett National Park (6-hours drive). After lunch at your jungle resort, which is outside the park, you are free to explore the area around you. Make sure you are well rested as the next few days will be starting early!
Corbett National Park is set in the Shivalik foothills of the Himalayas in the state of Uttaranchal. It is named after the famous hunter-naturalist, Jim Corbett. It is home to over 50 varieties of mammals, about 600 species of birds (Parakeets, Owls, Orioles, Drongos, Thrushes, Babblers, Bulbuls, Cuckoos, Doves, Bee-Eaters, Rollers, Flycatchers, Warblers, Robins) and more and about 25 reptilian species. The pride of Corbett is, of course, its Tigers, Leopards, and rare Gharials.
Today we start early for our game drive in Corbett and head to Dhikala Range, where we will be based for the next three days.
After breakfast, we resume our exploration of Corbett. We return to the guest house for lunch, which is followed by another safari in Corbett National Park.
The following days will also have early starts. Enjoy a steaming cup of tea before we go on safari.
We will return to the lodge for breakfast and continue exploring the Corbett National Park until dusk. During your stay in Dhikala, you will be visiting the crocodile pool, Dhangarhi museum and interpretation center.
Today, we will start early for a morning game drive in Corbett through Dhikala Range. We will return to the guest house for breakfast and then we will drive back to Delhi. You can spend the remainder of the day relaxing in your room.
This is the last day of your comprehensive India wildlife holiday and you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back home.
For Advanced level tours, we recommend previous experience of the activity involved. These are our most challenging and advanced expeditions. They include long walks, cycling, trekking, hiking or rafting in variable weather conditions for more than ten hours a day. These trips may often be over three weeks in duration. Ascents and descents are over 1000m at altitudes up to 6000m and the climate can be rigorous and challenging. Excellent physical condition and previous mountain trekking experience or appropriate preparation is essential.
