An early morning flight to Nagpur and a drive of about 2 hours from there will take us to Pench National Park where your Indian wildlife tour will properly begin. We are scheduled to reach by early afternoon. After check-in, relax in your suite or go on a stroll in the camp area.
After lunch, we set out on our first game drive into Pench National Park. The drive will acquaint you with the environment of the park, which is mainly dry deciduous forest of teak trees.
The beautiful Pench Tiger Reserve is nestled in the southern part of the Satpura Hills and is named after the Pench River that flows through it. In addition to Tigers, the area is famous for large herds of Gaur (Indian Bison), Chital, Sambar, Nilgai, Wild Dog, and Wild Pig.
We start the day with an early morning safari in Pench and a picnic breakfast. The long drive through the deciduous forest and gurgling streams give you a chance to encounter nature at close quarters. We return to the lodge for lunch, after which you can relax for a while. Go on an afternoon safari, the bright light, bird and animal sightings come together to form perfect photo opportunity!
We head back to the lodge at dusk where a delicious dinner will be waiting for you after we get back from the park.
Today, after an early breakfast, we bid goodbye to Pench and travel to Kanha National Park. This is a drive of approximately 5 hours and we try to reach around noon in time for lunch. We will then set out on an afternoon game drive in Kanha National Park, and return to the lodge at dusk. Our day ends with bonfire night, a delicious meal and a display of local culture in the form of the foot-tapping Baiga tribal dance. We advise you to end your day soon after dinner because the next 2 days have an early start.
Kanha National Park is a beautiful reserve that is rich in wildlife. It encompasses lush meadows, thick forests and water bodies. As you enter, the subtle fragrance of the Sal forest and the incessant sound of cicada will captivate you. In addition to the Tiger, Kanha is home to the rare hard-ground Barasingha or Swamp Deer. You might also see spotted Deer, Sambar Deer, Langurs, Leopards and Dholes (Wild Dogs).
Our exploration of Kanha National Park will continue over the next two days. We begin these two days with early morning safaris in Kanha and picnic breakfasts. After lunch at the lodge, we will head into the wilderness once more until dusk.
If there is time, we will drive to Bahmni Dadar – the highest point in Kanha. It offers a panoramic view of the entire national park.

After breakfast, we will be driving for about 4 hours to Jhansi to board a train for Agra. You will be met on arrival by our representative, who will help you get to your hotel.
We will visit the magnificent Taj Mahal at dawn. Its architectural splendor is a vivid reminder of the legendary Mughal Empire. Later in the day, we will visit some of the other famous buildings on an Agra city tour. After lunch, we drive for 45 minutes to Fatehpur Sikri, a World Heritage Site (1-hour stopover). This city was once the capital of Mughal emperor Akbar’s massive empire.
We will then drive for a further 45 minutes to our next wildlife destination- Keoladeo National Park (formerly Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary). After checking in at the lodge, you are free to spend the remainder of the evening relaxing.
